Oh, do not spend money and travel long distances
for, the waters washing the (Lotus) Feet of the Guru
is verily the Holy Ganga and the Holy Yamuna!
Oh, do not wander here and there for atonement of sins
for, is there anything as sin after
the Guru has looked at you but once!
Oh, do not be at a loss to know the way to gain Bhakti
for, consuming the food remains on the leaf
of the Guru verily develops Bhakti!
Oh, do not be distressed to learn the way to Liberation
for, it is verily found in
the dust
of the Guru’s (Lotus) Feet!
Oh, your vision would turn inward
if only
you would adhere to all these four
And, it is verily boundless Bliss as you move inward!
Though not desirous of money
would I take leave empty hand
please do speak a word about me to (your) Guru!
