Houston ND conducted prayers for July 4
Continuous chanting of the prayer-fulfilling Divine Names, the Mahamantra¡ªHare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare, Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare¡ªwas held from 6 AM to 6 PM on July 3. This is the first time that a 12-hour continuous chanting session was conducted at the Houston Namadwaar. Gopa Kuteeram for kids with stories, songs and games was conducted on Saturday for the kids who attended the event.
At the end of the continuous chanting session, Dr. Bhagyanathan, personal secretary to His Holiness Sri Sri Swamiji, gave a short 40-minute talk that underlined the fortune of those present at the Namadwaar that day.
On Sunday, the Fourth of July, another chanting session was conducted from 7 AM to 10 AM. This was followed by the recitals of Pancha Geetham and Pancha Stuthi from Srimad Bhagavatham. The session concluded with a prayer for the USA written specifically for the occasion. The prayer was read out as follows on both July 3 and 4:

Akanda Nama and Gopa Kuteeram in Dallas
Akanda Nama Sankirtan and Gopa Kuteeram was conducted at the residence of Sri Raghuji and Smt.Boomaji on the 26th of June 2010. The satsang started off with Dyana sloka and it was followed by Mahamantra kirtan. The chanting filled the whole place with harmony and vibration. The devotees then recited Bhishma stuthi and Druva stuthi. Sri Mayakoothanji gave a short talk on Thirumazhisai Alwar and then the devotees sang songs composed by Sri Swamiji.
Then came the Gopa Kuteeram kids who did a short skit on Sant Eknath and the audience really enjoyed it. The stasang concldued with “Kaliyaiyum bali kollum”, “Jayajaya mangalam Sri Guro “ followed by arthi. Nearly 35 devotees were blessed to take part in this event.

'Krishna Provides' - A Puppet Show in Seattle
The Seattle chapter of GOD organized a debut puppet show by the 'Dancing Peacock Puppet Company' on the story 'Krishna Provides' at the Ananda Mela. It was a huge success. The turnout was fabulous and parents/children and everyone present enjoyed the show. The event was attended by a large number of ethnic groups and other communities. The story-teller, narrator and mascot was 'Kutti Kitta' the handsome peacock with Gopi Chandan on his forehead who stole the hearts of many people.
The GOD stall that was set up at the venue to get the word out about Sampradaya Camp, Kolam Company and Dancing Peacock Puppet Company was a phenomenal success. The word, Sampradaya rang a sweet bell for many and they showed up promptly at the booth to inquire when the next camp was going to be held.

Satsang and Akhanda Nama Kirtan filled the premises of Houston Namadwaar on May 22-23.The blessed family of Dr.Srinivasanji from India led the events at Namadwaar that weekend.

A Unique Gruhapravesh
Smt. Uma Meyyappan and Sri Meyyappan of Irving, TX are ardent devotees of HH Sri Muralidhara Swamiji. They esired to have Sri Swamiji's presence and blessings for the inauguration and gruhapravesh of their newly constructed montessori school in the Dallas area and communicated this to Sri Swamiji. Sri Swamiji blessed them with the message that His Padukas, which are no different from Him shall be present at the function. Accordingly, Sri Narayananji of Boston flew into Dallas with
Sri Swamiji's holy Padukas. On the morning of April 25, the function was celebrated as 'Padukapravesh'.
Mahamantra Sankirtan was performed at the new building in the presence of the Divine Padukas. Sri Narayananji also discoursed on the greatness of Guru Paduka. All the devotees from Dallas and Houston who participated in the unique gruhapravesh function could experience the divinity owing to the Guru Padukas and Mahamantra Kirtan.
