What is Namadwaar?

Namadwaar literally means, ‘The Portal of the Divine Name’. It shows a path to the Supreme Truth through Nama Sankirtan (chanting the Divine Names), specifically the Mahamantra,

Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare

The concept of Namadwaar is based on a worldwide initiative of GOD USA to strive towards Universal Peace and Harmony by manifesting the divinity within each individual through the simple path of chanting the Divine Names.  It is a way to provide material as well as spiritual upliftment to humanity at large.

A vision of the Namadwaar as conceived by HH Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji can be read here.

Constant chanting of the Mahamantra automatically ensures divine presence.  Prayers done in such precincts are undoubtedly fulfilled.  This is Namadwaar, a prayer house where Mahamantra is continuously chanted.

While mental repetition of the Divine Name leads to the good of the individual, chanting the Divine Name out loud purifies the singer, the listener and the very place where the chanting is done.  Constant chanting of the Divine Names in the same location verily manifests the divinity in that place and spreads positive vibrations of love, harmony and understanding not just within its precincts but everywhere around it.  That is the prime reason for the establishment of Namadwaars world over.

The Namadwaar in the US was the first prayer house outside India.  For a list of all the Namadwaars in India and other countries, click here.
