The Mind and the Moon

A few people have mental disorders / behave eccentric on full-moon days. This, modern science, attributes to the effect of the moon’s power on the human mind.  In fact, the word ‘lunatic’ comes from the word ‘lunar’ which relates to the moon.

The Vedas have described the connection between the Mind and the moon eons back.  The Purusha Sukta underlines this by symbolically saying that the moon is the mind of the Cosmic Purusha. (’chandrama manaso jaatha:)

Interestingly, there is a sloka in the giant epic - Mahabharata that states that in this Kali Yuga, many will be afflicted with mental disorders!

Mars is red — Pathfinder?

In Indian astrology, to address the influence of planet Mars, generally wearing red color attire, wearing coral (which is also red) and offering red colored flowers are prescribed. Recently we find in the photographs of Mars, that Mars is Red in color!

It has been said in the 4th Kaanda of Krishna Yajur Veda, ‘Chandramasi Krishnam’ - That objects on moon are black. Recently when man landed on the moon and collected samples from moon’s surface, we find that they are dark in color! This can be seen to this day, in some planetariums which have samples from surface of the moon.

The rainbow

When one goes to Navagraha temples, he finds that only the Sun God has a chariot. The chariot is driven by 7 horses, not 6, not 8 , but exactly seven horses.

Do you know the significance of the 7 horses? Modern scientific discoveries show that the Sun’s rays comprises of 7 colours , VIBGYOR. In fact in the temples we find that the horses are colored as per the VIBGYOR pattern!
Such great scientific truths are embedded in our religion.
Only people who do not want to go deeper into the facts, would try to ridicule such great concepts in our Religion.
